I have 5 kids and summers are busy. I only had 30 minutes to quickly run through the Marshall's on Del Obispo in San Juan Capistrano to grab some clothes for an upcoming trip. I asked the lady at the checkout stand if it was ok to return items since I didn't have time to try anything on right then. She said yes of course as long as I have my receipt. Five days later I went back to return 7 items and was put through the ringer for it. In a condescending obnoxious tone the twenty-something man at the register rattled off a series of questions... Did I ever think about trying things on in the dressing room before buying them? Why did I buy so many things if I was just going to return then? Why don't I open an account with them instead of using my Visa card? Don't I want to save some $ if I'm going to spend so much on clothes? Honestly, I kept my cool because once again I was in a hurry and didn't have time to let him know that his inappropriate tone and questions just lost Marshall's a customer with a large family and lots of friends who I have shared my experience with. We will never shop at this Marshall's or any other location again!
